I cried when I opened this wonderful piece of art that my daughter, Toni, designed & made just for me. The picture is from the day we had our little get together with daughter, Elizabeth, & Toni's family last week for Christmas. My, I have such talented children! Brag, brag. I love stuff like this.

Mr. Jay is in here installing the blind we just got for this little room, where my computer is, and where the guest bed is also is located. I am redecorating this room. It is painted a color called Silver Sage, from the collection at Restoration Hardware. I bought Shabby Chic sheets (say that 5 times fast) and I'm going to attempt to make a dust ruffle on Gertie (my sewing machine). I let her (Gertie) live even though she really pissed me off during my Christmas sewing.

This is the beautiful necklace my granddaughter, Maggie, made with her own little hands, just for me. I feel so loved! She makes really imaginative jewelery. I love it very much.

Here is a picture of the purse I sewed for my oldest daughter, Stacey, for Christmas this year. This is a new thing for me & believe me, I had the devil's own time with this. It was a real b*&#h. But it turned out pretty good! Now that I have solved the puzzle, I will probably make more purses. Just not with this pattern!

This is the pitcher I found at Goodwill a couple of months ago. I couldn't believe my luck. I practically had to run down another woman who saw it right after I did & made a beeline for it. But, I beat her to it because I was closer. All is fair in love & grabbing treasures!

This is a collection of my plates. I love to collect beautiful plates & hang them on my walls. I find them at antique malls, garage & estate sales, & sometimes at Goodwill. The lovely tea set in the fore ground of this picture was given to me by my daughter, Toni. I asked her if I could have it when she passed (it was a joke) & she said I could have it now. Isn't she sweet? We just returned from the theater. We saw "Meet Me in St. Louis". It was really a cute production & we enjoyed it a lot. Mr. Jay & I went with daughter, Toni & granddaughter, Maggie. It is a fun thing we do together about once a month. We have dinner there, too.

Well, I think I will catch up on the sleep I missed over the Christmas holiday. I enjoyed my short visit with my youngest daughter, Elizabeth, & I am missing her now that she is back at her home. I wished she lived close to me. One of my dreams is to have all my children home for Christmas. Maybe next year. That sounds like a soap opera, huh? As we become friends on this blog, you will see just what a real soap opera my life is. Tune in tomorrow!
